Welcome to another exciting year in our library with Mrs Seymour.
All classes have an allocated library time once a week for borrowing from our wide range of rich literature. As well as particpating in structured library lessons, students are encouraged to borrow books from the library as part of these lessons.
A fun fact about our librarian: Not only does Mrs Seymour touch the lives of many of our students with her passion for reading. She is a published author and Illustrator!
She has won the Children's Book Council Australia Award for Best New Illustrator for her book 'Baby Business'. On top of this, she is nominated for The National Priminister Literacy Award for her first book 'Coogee Mittagar' and is also the Illustrator of the book 'Family'.
We have big plans for our library in 2021, starting with an integrated Durag Language Geography Program as classes weekly library lessons. We will be inviting our community to also engage in this learning.
