Riverstone Public School has participated in Premiers Challenge the last nine years as part of our Library program.
NSW Premier Bob Carr launched the Premiers Reading Challenge in 2001 to encourage a love of reading in children.
Students in years K-2 will participate in the challenge in conjunction with their library lessons. K -2 students are required to read a total of 30 books from the K-2 Challenge List.
Students in years 3-6 complete the challenge individually by reading a total of 20 books from their challenge level. It is important children are borrowing every week and reading at home.
Congratulations to all the students who completed the challenge in 2011!
All students who complete the challenge receive a certificate and their name printed in The Sun-Herald.
The 2012 challenge begins in Term 1.
